The Electronic Health Record
The 'Electronic Health Record' is at the core of axiUm's functionality.
axiUm’s 'Electronic Health Record' (EHR) is a central hub from where the most common tasks can be executed in one convenient location. This allows for quick and efficient usage of the integrated tools in axiUm.
The EHR is the electronic equivalent of the patient's chart, allowing for all clinical information, including treatments and forms, to be stored in one paperless database. Customizable for each institution and user, the EHR is HIPAA compliant and can be programmed to have an unlimited number of security levels for users. Every adjustment made in the EHR is time, date, and user stamped, allowing for a complete audit trail throughout axiUm.
Core features of the EHR:
Odontogram The illustrated tooth chart allows for a quick visual review of any type of pre-existing condition, performed dental work and recorded perio conditions. The interactive Odontogram in the EHR is automatically updated when findings, recommendations or treatments are entered in the EHR. Quickly and easily view at a glance the patient’s current and pending procedures, including procedures that are planned for today. This view gives the provider an outline of what the patient’s upcoming dental treatments will be. |
Where your institution can benefit:

Help make the transition towards paperless operations With the ability to enter and store clinical information electronically, users are kept assured that all patient health data is maintained securely within the database, helping institutions move away from paper-based storage practices.
Make more efficient use of chair-side staff time Utilizing axiUm’s EHR, users have access to not only a robust database, but an efficiency creating tool. Smart views ensure that relevant information is displayed to assist providers when treatment planning and reviewing treatment history. Quick lists streamline data entry so more quality time is spent on personalized patient care. Moreover, as with all axiUm modules, you are just a click away from key tasks such as updating a medical history, preparing a treatment plan, viewing electronic images, and much more. |
Monitor patient health electronically Using the EHR, monitoring patient dental information is possible with just a few clicks. This core module allows providers to make use of visual tools such as the Odontogram and gives users access to third party x-ray imaging so as to offer a single window snapshot of the patient’s oral health. |
